I have been an occupational therapist for over 30 years. I have taught at the associate, master's, and doctoral levels since 1992. My area of expertise is assistive technology and environmental interventions. I strongly believe in service-learning or learning by doing as it aligns with the philosophy of OT. My approach to teaching is being a “guide on the side” rather than a “sage on the stage.” In addition to teaching in the classroom, I have had the opportunity to take OT students to Ecuador, Portugal, and Morocco to engage in service-learning experiences.

I live with my husband in Ithaca NY where we enjoy gardening and cooking.
